Science is cool: Light as a wave and particle

Clever people come up with new ways to see old ideas.

EPFL has just imaged light acting as both a wave and a particle.  There is wonder in the universe at any scale, no mysticism needed!

Meet the new George Bush

Ever wonder who's the actual successor to President George Bush?

George Bush Vladimir Putin
"The Patriot Act closed dangerous gaps in America's law enforcement and intelligence capabilities, gaps that terrorists exploited when they attacked us." The strengthening of our statehood is, at times, deliberately interpreted as authoritarianism.
I'm the commander -- see, I don't need to explain -- I do not need to explain why I say things. That's the interesting thing about being president.
Sometimes it is necessary to be lonely in order to prove that you are right.
Every nation in every region now has a decision to make. Either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists. Terrorism has once again shown it is prepared deliberately to stop at nothing in creating human victims. An end must be put to this. As never before, it is vital to unite forces of the entire world community against terror.
Government does not create wealth. The major role for the government is to create an environment where people take risks to expand the job rate in the United States. The point of conservatism is not that it prevents movement forward and upward, but that it prevents movement backward and downward, into chaotic darkness and a return to a primitive state.
George Bush Vladimir Putin

It's obvious why Bush thought Putin was someone he could do business with...he taught him everything he knew about manipulating a state.

Why would you trust Bill O'Reilly?

Bill O'Reilly encapsulates everything that's wrong with the media.

He staunchly follows dogma in many areas - insulating himself from ideas that should change a reasonable person's mind.

He attacks people personally for disagreeing with him.

He makes up stuff out of convenience.  He gets shrill when he's cornered. He thinks he can get away with anything so long as he claims to love Jesus, love the USA, love patriots, love Americans or whatever else that can.

His best quote is from this video, "It's true for me."

What exactly does that mean?  There is a truth that is absolute, and then there's this local one for me, Bill O'Reilly, over all.  I don't care about that other one, I'm throwing in with my dogma.

Exactly why would you listen to this man, seriously?
