Conservatives' neo-fascism "hidden agenda" comes to light...

The new "anti-terror" bill C-51 is the embodiment of everything that opponents of Conservatives warned the public about.  This act calls "Information Sharing" what is really government information oversight of any citizen on any level with the justification that it is in the name of protecting the people.

When you look at the US example, big brother George Bush and his so-called "Patriot Act", a law so laced with fascist ideals hidden in the guise of patriotism, it beggars the mind that someone else might try it as well.  It gave powers to the state that are still unreasonable, but if you object then you are unpatriotic and siding with the terrorists.

George Bush is now considered a laughing stock, and his work has brought not much more than problems for working people in America.  Look at what the Patriot Act allowed the US government to do:

Section Section title
201 Authority to intercept wire, oral, and electronic communications relating to terrorism
202 Authority to intercept wire, oral, and electronic communications relating to computer fraud and abuse offenses
203(b) Authority to share electronic, wire and oral interception information
204 Clarification of intelligence exceptions from limitations on interception and disclosure of wire, oral, and electronic communications
206 Roving surveillance authority under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978.
207 Duration of FISA surveillance of non-United States persons who are agents of a foreign power
209 Seizure of voice-mail messages pursuant to warrants
212 Emergency disclosure of electronic communications to protect life and limb
214 Pen register and trap and trace authority under FISA
215 Access to records and other items under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.
217 Interception of computer trespasser communications
218 Foreign intelligence information
220 Nationwide service of search warrants for electronic evidence
223 Civil liability for certain unauthorized disclosures
225 Immunity for compliance with FISA wiretap

Now look at the bill:

It gives the Conservative the same powers the US Patriot Act did:

Income Tax Act Amendment:

(9) An official may provide to the head, or their delegate, of a recipient Government of Canada institution listed in Schedule 3 to the Security of Canada Information Sharing Act

(a) publicly accessible charity information;
(b) taxpayer information, if there are reasonable grounds to suspect that the information would be relevant to
(i) an investigation of whether the activity of any person may constitute threats to the security of Canada, as defined in section 2 of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service Act, or
(ii) an investigation of whether any of the following offences may have been committed:
(A) a terrorism offence as defined in section 2 of the Criminal Code, and
(B) an offence under section 462.31 of the Criminal Code, if that investigation is related to a terrorism offence as defined in section 2 of that Act; and

You as a citizen can have your tax information given away to some lookie-loo in the federal government and the justification is protecting society.

This is just one amendment tied into this bill.  It is a government encroachment in freedom bill that is going to put us down the road to the same fascist oversight of anyone at anytime and there is no oversight to all this power.
