The new "anti-terror" bill C-51 is the embodiment of everything that opponents of Conservatives warned the public about. This act calls "Information Sharing" what is really government information oversight of any citizen on any level with the justification that it is in the name of protecting the people.
When you look at the US example, big brother George Bush and his so-called "Patriot Act", a law so laced with fascist ideals hidden in the guise of patriotism, it beggars the mind that someone else might try it as well. It gave powers to the state that are still unreasonable, but if you object then you are unpatriotic and siding with the terrorists.
George Bush is now considered a laughing stock, and his work has brought not much more than problems for working people in America. Look at what the Patriot Act allowed the US government to do:

It gives the Conservative the same powers the US Patriot Act did:
Income Tax Act Amendment:
(9)
An official may provide to the head, or their delegate, of a recipient
Government of Canada institution listed in Schedule 3 to the Security of Canada Information Sharing Act

You as a citizen can have your tax information given away to some lookie-loo in the federal government and the justification is protecting society. | ||||||||
